Okay, so every photographer, as a rule, will blog their best and prettiest photos. I will admit to doing this too BUT I wanted to share what typically goes on behind the scenes of any shoot….especially when I am trying to photograph close friends or family! This was one of my last holiday sessions before the new year:
It can take around 15-20 minutes for new friends to loosen up and feel more comfortable in front of my camera…not so with my kiddos….
Close family and friends may take only a few minutes to warm up to the camera….then the giggles start to creep into the session….
The mysterious floating head on Erin’s shoulder becomes a thing!
Things just get sillier and stranger, but If I’m being completely honest, these photos are the ones I love the most! I think most families cherish these types of memories as well; just being able to document how your family interacts and shows the love. It’s one of the reasons I love this job!
